L’Anopheles gambiae è una delle specie più importanti di zanzare vettori della malaria in Africa subsahariana. Le femmine pungono principalmente di notte e sono responsabili della trasmissione del parassita Plasmodium.
The Anopheles gambiae is one of the most important mosquito species transmitting malaria in sub-Saharan Africa. Females mainly bite at night and are responsible for spreading the Plasmodium parasite.
