A village of fireflies came to Dracula Bugs in terror.
“Every night, we see a glowing creature in the woods that copies our moves. We blink — it blinks. We fly — it flies. But no one can catch it!”
Dracula Bugs raised a brow. “A mimic? Or… something else?”
That night, he and Glint followed the fireflies to the clearing. Sure enough, a swarm blinked in rhythm — and across the way, the same pattern blinked back. But when they flew closer…
“That’s not another swarm,” said Dracula Bugs. “That’s a sheet of water.”
The forest had flooded just enough to form a still pool — and the fireflies were seeing their reflection.
Glint giggled. “They were afraid of themselves!”
Dracula Bugs chuckled. “Even the smallest creatures can be fooled by a mirror.”
From then on, the fireflies danced twice as proudly — now that they knew their own beauty.
