Description and Appearance:
The Orchid Mantis is an extraordinary insect that mimics orchid flowers with remarkable precision. Its body and legs are shaped and colored like delicate pink and white petals, allowing it to blend seamlessly among real orchids.

Feeding and Behavior:
This mantis is a skilled ambush predator. It lures pollinating insects such as bees and butterflies by resembling a flower. Unsuspecting prey lands nearby, and the mantis strikes quickly with its powerful forelegs to capture them.

Life Cycle:
After mating, females lay eggs in foam-like ootheca attached to plants. Nymphs hatch resembling miniature adults and gradually grow through molting.

Habitat:
Orchid Mantises are native to the rainforests of Southeast Asia, where orchids grow abundantly. Their camouflage helps them both hunt and avoid predators.
