Bertie, the shiny black ground beetle, loved playing hide-and-seek more than anything. But being so glossy, hiding was always a challenge!

One day, Bertie thought he found the perfect spot — inside a flower petal. He squeezed in and waited quietly.

But the moment a curious ladybug landed, the petal bent, and Bertie tumbled out right onto a snail’s back!

The snail blinked slowly and said, “Looking for me, Bertie?”

Bertie chuckled, “Well, I guess I found a new hiding spot… if only I could stay on!”

The snail gave him a slow ride around the garden, and Bertie realized sometimes the best hiding spot is a fun adventure.
