The night was thick and silent.
The Mandiblade trembled in Arthur’s hands, still glowing with the green light of unity. But something… or someone… was devouring that light from within.
🌫 The Creeping Darkness
From the depths emerged a creature made of shadow and chitin. None had ever seen it clearly, yet all had heard the tales: the Unseen One, the Root-Digger, the Memory-Eater. An ancient centipede, as long as twenty trunks laid end to end, with mandibles sharp enough to cut through stories.
“Arthur,” it hissed. “The blade isn’t yours. It was mine… and it will be again.”
⚔️ The Battle in the Depths
The ground gave way.
Arthur, Formax, Arakna, and Melaria were swallowed by a sudden chasm. They fell into a fossilized maze, where ancient insects stood frozen in stone.
Here, the enemy was unseen. It slithered through tunnels. Forgotten words, corrupted memories, whispers of disunity… the Unseen One used the past as a weapon.
🐜 The Resistance of the Roots
But they were not alone.
From the walls emerged the Reconciliators: a tribe of exiled termites, who had lived there for generations, seeking balance between destruction and renewal.
“You carry the Mandiblade,” said their leader, Termon. “But it cannot fight for you. Only what you are can save you.”
💫 The Betrayal Unveiled
Just as the light began to return… Arakna struck Arthur.
A bite.
A dash.
She fled, carrying the Mandiblade.
“Spiders do not forget,” she whispered. “And we do not share.”
As she vanished into the shadows, the sword dimmed.
A new dusk threatened the insect world.
