🌌 Underground Roots – Hive Sector Z
After their alliance, Superman Insect and Batman Insect dive into the soil tunnels beneath Gardenopolis. The mites, parasitic invaders with acid mandibles and hive-melting venom, are swarming the roots of the city’s food plants.
Superman Insect:
🗣️ “If they reach the core root, the entire garden will wilt.”
Batman Insect:
🗣️ “We need to shut down their queen. She’s somewhere in the fungus chambers.”
🐜 The Mite Horde Appears
The tunnel walls crack open — hundreds of armored root mites surge forward!
- Superman Insect uses sonic buzzwaves to stun the front line.
- Batman Insect activates a sonar cloaking field, sneaking past to plant EMP-pollen bombs.
💣 BOOM! The tunnel quakes, and half the horde collapses under soil debris.
👑 The Mite Queen Awakens
In the deepest root chamber, they face the Mite Queen — a grotesque, swollen tick-like parasite fused with toxic fungi. She screeches:
🗣️ “You think you can save this garden? My spores are already in the wind!”
She unleashes a cloud of hallucinogenic spores, confusing Superman Insect.
🧠 Batman Saves the Day
Batman Insect throws a mind-shielding nectar capsule into Superman’s mandibles.
🦇 “Focus, Sup! She’s bluffing. Her spore vents are exposed!”
With a blast of heat vision, Superman Insect seals the vents. Batman launches his Batarang-beetles, chewing through the Mite Queen’s legs.
She collapses. The root begins to heal.
🌱 Peace Restored – For Now
As the spores settle and silence returns, the two heroes emerge into the moonlight once again.
Superman Insect:
🗣️ “If she had spread those spores, it could’ve meant extinction.”
Batman Insect:
🗣️ “Exactly. That’s why we can never rest.”

In a hidden web in the canopy, a mysterious eight-legged figure watches…
🗣️ “The mites failed. But Arachnon will not.”
